Arthur L. Dunn

Mr. Arthur L. Dunn, age 91, of Bee Branch, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at his residence. He was born May 23, 1919 in Oil City, Louisiana to Arthur and Anna (Blackman) Dunn. He married his beautiful lady Delores Dunn in Seattle, Washington and was married for 56 years. He was a United States Navy veteran who served in World War II at Pearl Harbor, Battle of Normandy, and Iwo Jima. He also was a master of several other jobs, a member of the Pine Mountain General Baptist Church, a good storyteller, and a loving father. He is survived by three sons and three daughters: David L. (Daphne) Dunn of Silverton, Oregon; Loyola Mae (David) Kohnke of Pueblo West, Colorado; Arlene Janet (Clifford) Wells, of Bee Branch, Arkansas; Coy James (Gerty) Dunn of Bee Branch, Arkansas; Angela Kay Dunn of Bee Branch, Arkansas, and Rickey Allen (Susan) Dunn of Heavener, Oaklahoma; one foster son: Dick (Marilyn) Keller; one foster daughter: Cheri Keller; 23 grandchildren; 62 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, and 10 brothers and sisters. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m., Friday, May 20, 2011, at the Roller McNutt Funeral Home in Clinton, Arkansas. Funeral Service will be 6 p.m., Saturday, May 21, 2011 at the Pine Mountain General Baptist Church in Bee Branch, Arkansas with Pastor Fairel Pierce officiating. Interment will follow at the Pine Mountain Cemetery with United States Navy Military Honors. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Roller McNutt Funeral Home.
