Letha Viola Chaney, 98, of Scott, Arkansas went to be with the Lord Thursday, May 19th, 2011. She was born July 8th, 1912 in Hornersville, Missouri to Newt Harrison McCall and Pearl Bell Horner McCall. Letha went to school at Tomberlin Elementary School and graduated high school from Morris High School in England, Arkansas. She was a homemaker and a dedicated member of Toltec Baptist Church for over sixty years. She loved yard work, gardening and reading. Letha was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband of twenty-eight years, Ray Chaney; one sister: Opal Walls; two sons: Willis Chaney, Sr. and Don Chaney, Sr.; one grandson: Don Chaney, Jr. She is survived by one son: David Chaney and his wife Marcia of Lonoke; one daughter: Carolyn Clements and her husband Richard of Little Rock; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one daughter-in-law, Joy Chaney of England, also her nieces and nephews and extended family. Services are being handled by Roller England Funeral Home (501) 842-3939. The service will be held at Toltec Baptist Church, Toltec, Arkansas at 2 p.m., Saturday, May 21st, 2011 with Bro. Mike Fowler officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in Mulberry Cemetery in England.
