CHUCK ROYCE, of Ferndale, Ark. went home to be with our Lord, Thursday, May 19, 2011 after a short fight against liver failure. He was born Charles Bennett Royce in Compton, Calif., July 31, 1950, to Mr. and Mrs. Jack Royce. He was the music director of his congregation at North Point Baptist Church, a loving husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed landscaping and carpentry and was a fine craftsman with leather and wood. He was a devoted man of God. Chuck is preceded by his brother Jack and father. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Fordyce-Royce; his mother; brother, Bill; and sister Donna; three sons, Jack E. Royce of Malvern, Justin Tobias Royce of Fayetteville, Leif Luebkert of California; and a daughter, Essence Royce of California; two step-sons, David and Kenneth Reunard of Ferndale; five grandchildren, Cody Harrison Royce, Christopher Harrison Royce, Lala Royce, Jagger Royce and Remi Royce of Malvern; as well as many loving friends. He will be greatly missed. The memorial service will be held at 10 a.m., May 25, 2011 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, in Ferndale. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations will be accepted through North Point Baptist Church.
