FLOYD LEE MITCHELL SR., 78 of Sherwood, Ark. referred by friends and loved ones as "Bill," was born in North Little Rock, Ark., Nov. 19, 1932, and called home to rest May 18, 2011. A former employee of Veterans Hospital North Little Rock, after 30 faithful years he retired. He also worked for the North Little Rock School District for many years. Floyd was a member of Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church, and survived by his wife Betty Mitchell for 27 years; children, Loretta Winfrey of Seattle Wash., Vivian (Mitchell) Simmons of Sherwood, Ark., Rhonda Avery (Steven) of Little Rock, Ark., Floyd Mitchell Jr., Angela Rainey (Earl) of North Little Rock, Ark.; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grands; sister, Herbeteen Johnson of Little Rock, Ark.; other siblings, Maurice, Cathy, Dorothy Mitchell; special neices; Edwina, Donna, Briggette, and Nia.
