Jean Moser Kimmer, 82, of Batesville died Thursday, May 19, 2011 in Little Rock. Born October 12, 1928 in Mount Pleasant, Ark., she was the daughter of Thomas Barnett Moser and Mellie (Brown) Moser. Jean lived most of her life around the Batesville area, working for the International Shoe Company and then working and retiring from White-Rodgers. She enjoyed gardening, traveling and entertaining in relation to her husband, George Kimmer's campaign for Independence County Tax Collector. She enjoyed being with her granddaughter and her daughter-in-law's family. She was a member of the Church of Christ. She is survived by her husband, George Kimmer; son, Larry Kimmer and wife, Cecile, of Little Rock; a grandchild, Dr. Jill Morgan Kimmer of Oklahoma City, Okla.; sister, Vernice Scott of Doniphan, Mo.; 27 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Emmett Moser, Luther Moser, Dewey Moser, Wayne Moser; three sisters, Hazel Brooks, Lillian Johnson, and Ona Boutwell. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Tuesday, May 24, 2011 at the Roller-Crouch Chapel in Batesville with Dean Fugett officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery at Cushman by Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Batesville. Pallbearers are Melvin Moser, Earvin Moser, Connie Johnson, Delmus Johnson, Jackie Swaims, and Raymond Keller. Honorary pallbearers are Charles Wilson, James Johnson, Lee Barnes, Roger Boutwell, and Bobby Jean Johnson. Visitation is from 6-8 p.m., Monday, May 23, 2011.
