Khampheng Singkhek

Khampheng Singkhek, 87, of Pottsville, Ark. went to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 19, 2011. He was born in Xiang Nuan, Thailand on March 4, 1924 to Sai and Chuang Singkhek. He was married to the late Chanti (Saypanya) Singkhek. Pa was a member of St. John's Catholic Church in Russellville. He was a deeply spiritual person who led by example. He was a great family man. He is survived by his eight children: Liam (Syhong) Phimmachak, Sister Theresa Singkhek, Bouachum (Lysong) Oupesith, BounOum (Joyce) Singkhek, Som Kiat (Bounnhok) Thepharath, Ken (Tina) Singkhek, Keo (Lyn) Singkhek and Patrick (Whitney) Singhkek; 17 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews along with a host of extended family and friends. Pa will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday, May 23, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church with Father Keller as celebrant. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-7 p.m. on Sunday evening, May 22 with a rosary beginning at 7 p.m. in the chapel at Griffin Leggett Healey Roth Funeral Home, 5800 West 12th, Little Rock, Ark. 72204.
