Our mother, grandmother and friend, Johnnie Alexander Clay (39 and holding) went to be with the Lord May 22, 2011. She was born the middle of five children to John William and Emma Lamarly Alexander. Johnnie married the love of her life, William "Buckshot" Clay, and they were blessed with four wonderful sons. Johnnie was a loving, caring and giving person who will be greatly missed by all that knew her. Johnnie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a sister, Emma Marie Smith and brother, William Hoyt Alexander. She is survived by her sons, Gary Clay and wife, Beth of Sherwood, Dennis Clay and wife, Sherri, Michael Clay and Bill Clay, all of Little Rock; two sisters, Iris Louise Hill of Bentonville, and Dorothy Jean Spiva and husband, Floyd of Watonga, Oklahoma; her grandchildren, Joseph and Jeremy Perrone, Catherine, Parker, Austin, Hollee and Will Clay and her great-grandchildren, Luke, Chase, Logan and Natalie Perrone. The family deeply appreciates the love, support and care given to her by Patsy Kirkham and Vickie Zajac. Psalm 91 covers you Nanny! Family Visitation will be Wednesday, May 25 from 6-8 p.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (corner of I-630 and Barrow Road). Services will be Thursday, May 26th at 10 a.m. at the funeral home, officiated by Rev. Mike Morey. Interment will follow at the Little Rock National Cemetery.
