Ruben Michael Gallardo, age 62, of Jacksonville went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 24, 2011. He was born May 19, 1949 in Montgomery, Alabama to Cencion L. Gallardo and Doris L. Martin Gallardo. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving during Vietnam and was an automotive mechanic. He loved playing his guitar and harmonica, was a member of the Salvation Army Choir, enjoyed dancing at the Senior Citizens Center, and spending time at McDonald's. He always had a habit of helping his friends. He was preceded in death by one brother Harris Gallardo. In addition to his parents, he is survived by one son Joe Gallardo and his wife Kristy of Cushing, Texas, two sisters, Jean Shahan of Jacksonville and Ann Garrie of Cabot. He is also survived by four grandchildren; Jacob, Keith, Jace, and Kiley Gallardo, five nieces; Lori Bowers of Bauxite, Charlene Alexander of Benton, Rebecca Williamson of Cabot, Emily Alexander of Benton and Katlyn Williamson of Cabot, six nephews; Alex Williamson, Tanner Bowers, Myk Williamson, Travis Alexander, Tyler Bowers, and Will Bowers. Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Thursday, May 26, 2011 at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home (501) 982-2136. Visitation will be one hour prior to service.
