Derek Adam Long, 21, of Siloam Springs, Ark., died May 28, 2011, at Siloam Springs Memorial Hospital. Born Oct. 18, 1989, in Dennison, Texas, he was the son of Mark Curtis Long and Sheri Dee Roberts Hoskins. He was a 2008 graduate of Siloam Springs High School. Derek was employed as a pharmacy tech at Jepson Drug Store, Siloam Springs, Ark. He was a member of New Life Church and was on the Worship Team. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Anice Roberts and grandfather, Alan Ray Long. Survivors include his father, Mark Long of Siloam Springs; his mother, Sheri Hoskins and husband Curt of Prairie Grove, Ark.; three brothers, Steven Long, McKenley Stone, and Samson Long, all of Siloam Springs; two sisters, Rachel Long and Rebecca Long, both of Siloam Springs; his grandfather, Don Roberts and wife Rita of Siloam Springs; his grandparents, Orville and Rosella Evans of Siloam Springs; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 1, 2011, at New Life Church, Siloam Springs, Ark., with Pastor Tim Estes officiating. Burial will follow at Springtown Cemetery, Springtown, Ark.
