Judy Turner Casali - a woman of strength and conviction - passed away on Dec. 1, 2012, at her home in Pine Bluff. Judy was born in Kilbourne, La., to Obie and Hettie Frances Turner, and was the youngest of eight children. Judy grew up in Lake Village but spent most of her adult life in Pine Bluff. Until his passing in 1963, she was married to Louis Robert Casali of Lake Village. They had two children together, Judy Casali Wilson (deceased) and Louis Robert "Bob" Casali Jr. of Dallas, Texas. Judy was a career woman most of her life working in various organizations and positions while raising her two children. She worked for the Pine Bluff School District, Pine Bluff Arsenal, NCTR, and Farmer's Home Loan Administration. She enjoyed travel, reading, dancing, trips to the casino, and time with friends and family. Judy is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Louis Robert "Bob" Casali Jr. and wife Sheila Bailey Casali of Dallas; three grandchildren, Louis Robert Casali III of Dallas, Elizabeth Claire Crowson of Jonesboro, Leigh Anne Hiegel of Little Rock; two great-granddaughters, Claire Isabelle Crowson of Jonesboro, and Harper Grace Hiegel of Little Rock; two sisters, Bernice Nicolini, and Lillie Procell both of Lake Village. Judy was predeceased by one daughter, Judy Casali Wilson (January 2012); three brothers, Clarence Turner, Norwood Turner, and Herman Turner; two sisters, Bonnie Stowers and, Beatrice Hobby. Visitation will be Monday, Dec. 3, 2012, from 6-8 p.m. at Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Directors in Pine Bluff. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2012, in the Chapel of Bishop Funeral Home in Lake Village with Reverend Ray Williams officiating and under the direction of Ralph Robinson & Son.
