Carolyn Glover Hull

On December 2, 2012, Carolyn Glover Hull, age 77, of Pine Bluff, died peacefully. Born December 4, 1934 in Lincoln County, she was a daughter of the late Hudson Glover and Corita Russell Glover. Mrs. Hull was reared and educated in Pine Bluff, and was a devoted and active member of the Pine Bluff High School Class of 1952. She had lived in Joliet and Columbus, Mont. for several years prior to returning to Pine Bluff in 1979. Carolyn was a member of Good Faith Carr United Methodist Church, where she formerly served as organist. She retired in 1996 after a number of years as secretary to the Dean of Education at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff. In addition to her parents, she was a preceded in death on January 24, 2009 by her husband, Guy Edward "Eddie" Hull, whom she married on December 27, 1953 in South Side Baptist Church at Pine Bluff; and a sister and brother-in-law, Sybil and Wendell White. Survivors include three sons, Les Hull (Vickie) of Joliet, Mont., David Hull (Tammi) of Woodinville, Wash. and Russell Hull (Gayelle) of Beebe; one daughter, Lari Hull Shank of Maumelle; one brother, Wilvon Glover (Marnette) of Pine Bluff; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Wednesday, 10:30 a.m. at Good Faith Carr United Methodist Church with Reverend Mike Wilkie officiating. Interment will be in Hickory Grove Cemetery at Star City by Fuller Hale-South Funeral Services. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
