Rachel Jennett Curlett Washington of Carlisle joyfully gave up her last smile on Friday. Little did we know that her mansion was ready. She gained her wings on Saturday, December 1, 2012 and took flight to be with her Lord. She leaves to cherish her memories a devoted husband Manuel Washington of the home, one son Travis Washington of Carlisle and one grandson Travis Washington, Jr. of Little Rock, brothers Rev. Oscar (Emma) Curlett, Robert Curlett, both of Hazen, John (Norma) Curlett of Conway, sisters Elizabeth Gerren and Marie Crowder, both of Dayton, Ohio; brother, Darrell Penn of Jacksonville, brothers and sisters in-law, Oscar ( Alma) Washington of Carlisle, Sarah Cleveland of Pittsburgh, PA, adopted sister in-law, Shirley (Richard) Lindsey of North Little Rock. Visitation, 5-7 p.m. Friday, December 7 at Boyd Funeral Home, Lonoke.
