Richard Sanford Woods

Richard Sanford Woods, 64, of Austin, born October 30, 1948 in Little Rock to parents, Jack and Tillie Woods, passed away on Tuesday, December 4, 2012. He was a member of Christian Church of Jacksonville. He served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Independence. He retired from Alltel after twenty years. In 2007, after returning to college, he graduated with a Bachelor's in Computer Science. His final employment was with AHTD. He was preceded in death by his parents. Richard is survived by his wife, Denise Woods; his children, Bethany Bonham (Steve), Amanda Vaughan (Andrew), and Kevin Woods; his grandchildren, Blake, Abby, Addie, Alana, McKelvey, and Aleaha; and his sister, Jacqui Kaucher (Theodore). Visitation will be at 8 a.m. on Friday, December 7, 2012, at Arkansas Funeral Care, 2620 W. Main Street, Jacksonville, Ark. Graveside Service will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, December 7, 2012, at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery. Interment will be at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery.
