Mary Helen Stafford Carman

MARY HELEN STAFFORD CARMAN of Gravel Ridge died peacefully on Nov. 20, 2012 at home with her family. Born Feb. 19, 1927 in Casey County, Ky., she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Emma Durham Stafford. Also preceding her in death was her husband, Clarence Vertrice (Tite) Carman; a brother, Kenneth Stafford and a sister, Maxine Floyd. Survivors include two sons, Dennis Carman (Deborah) of North Little Rock, Ark. and Richard Carman (Dorothy) of Liberty, Ky.; sisters, Alene Bastin of Danville, Ky. and Margaret Hodges of Cincinnati, Ohio; brothers, Billy Stafford of Stanford, Ky. and Charles Stafford of Danville, Ky.; three grandchildren, Jennifer, Shawn and Malissa; four great-grandchildren; many beloved nieces and nephews including Sarah Jane Stafford Sims, and a host of friends including special friend Geneva Milton. A memorial service and burial were held in Casey County, Kentucky on Nov. 26, 2012; arrangements by Bartle Funeral Home of Liberty, Ky.
