Albert S. Baxter

Dr. Albert S. Baxter. July 8, 1919 in Hamburg, Arkansas. Albert Sidney Baxter was born to the union of the late Robert Baxter and Mamie Wilson Batxer. Albert was the first of three sons. He was nurtured by his Aunt, Annie Baxter Wilson Bozeman and the Great Uncle, Thomas Wilson. Circa 1939 Albert wed Mae Frances Jordan of Pine Bluff, Arkansas. To this union three children were born, Robert Francis, Thomas Wilson and Gwendolyn Ann. On December 24, 1947 he united in matrimony with Bunia Lee Skinner. To this union four children were born, Pamela Danice, Mack A., Rudyard Sidney and Angela Yvette. To cherish his memory are his wife of almost 65 years, Bunia Lee Baxter, sons, Robert F. Baxter and daughter-in-law, Stella of San Diego, California, Thomas W. Baxter of Los Angeles, California, Mack A. and daughters, Pamela B. Johnson and son-in-law, Horace A Johnson, of Pine Bluff, Arkansas and Millicent Baxter, Atlanta, Georgia, 15 grand children, 23 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren, a sister-in-law, Audrey Montgomery, of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m., Thursday, December 13, 2012, at St. John AME Church with the Reverend James H. Thomas officiating. Entombment will be at Cypress Memorial Gardens by the P.K. Miller Mortuary. Dr. Baxter will lie in repose at the church on Thursday from noon until the time of service.
