Marguerite (Rita) White Hennessy

Marguerite (Rita) White Hennessy, age 97, of Pine Bluff, Arkansas was born on January 29th, 1915 in Monticello, Arkansas and passed away at Trinity Village on December 10th, 2012. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Hennessy who passed away on December 29th, 1999. Marguerite's life will be celebrated at Lakeside United Methodist Church Chapel in Pine Bluff, Ark. on Friday, December 14th at 10:30 a.m. with a graveside service at Oakland Cemetery in Monticello, Ark. at 2 p.m. on the same day. Marguerite attended Monticello A&M College and then graduated from the University Of Missouri School of Journalism. She met her husband at KLRA studios in Little Rock, AR and they married in 1938. For 50 years they had careers in radio, TV, and film in Memphis, Tenn., New York, and Baltimore, Md. Marguerite appeared in many TV commercials and movies including "the Seduction of Joe Tynan," "Titanic", "He Said She Said" and many others. They remained in the Baltimore area until 1992 at which time they moved to Trinity Village in Pine Bluff, Ark. to retire. After moving to Trinity Village, Marguerite was an active member of the Lakeside United Methodist Church in Pine Bluff. Survivors include nieces and nephews John Shannon of Hot Springs, Ark., Dr. Harry Shannon of Sarasota, Fla., Karen Johnson of Oklahoma City, Okla., Virgil Dansby White of Langhorne, Pa., Marjorie Tinkle of Salene, Mich., and Susan White of Littleton, Colo.
