Velta Carlene Kremers

Velta Carlene Kremers, 75, of Van Buren, went to be with her Lord on Thursday, December 13, 2012. She was born August 25, 1937 in Maple Shade to the late Robert Lanious McAlister and Fleta Basham McAlsiter. Velta loved her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren and also enjoyed spending time outdoors. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband George Kremers, one sister, Patsy McAlister and brothers, Bill, Derril, Bob, and Harold McAlister. She is survived by her son, Doug Kremers and wife Angela of Vilonia; daughter, Raylene Brown of Fort Smith; four grandchildren, Brent Brown, Hayden and, Grant Kremers, and Kim O'Dell; two great-grandchildren, Gavin and Briley O'Dell; three sisters, Mary Ketchum of Claremore, Oklahoma, Norma Johnson of Van Buren and Sue Gillett of Fort Smith. A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, December 15, 2012 at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Cabot. Arrangements are by Moore's Cabot Funeral Home (501) 843-5816.
