LaVerne Webb Schnebly

LAVERNE WEBB SCHNEBLY, 86, of Little Rock, Ark., died peacefully on Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2012. LaVerne was born Jan. 15, 1926, in Sidney, Ark., the youngest child of Harmon Davis and Effie Laffoon Webb. LaVerne, a retired school teacher, spent her career teaching business at Rose Bud High School. She received a B.S.E. from Arkansas State Teachers' College, now UCA, where she was a member of the National Honor Sorority, Alpha Chi. She was preceded in death by her husband, the love of her life, Ernest Schnebly, who served as superintendent of Rose Bud Schools and assistant superintendent for the Arkansas School for the Blind and by her sister, Estelle Anthony, and brothers, Davis and Odus Webb. She is survived by her son, Jim Schnebly, and by her grandchildren, the joy in her life, Josh, Karey, and Michael Schnebly. Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 22, at White County Memorial Gardens with an informal memorial gathering afterward at the Wesley Room, First United Methodist Church of Searcy.
