Mary Norma McBee Mayhall was known to her friends and family as Nikki. She was born on October 18, 1924 in Wileyville, West Virginia and passed away on Monday, December 17, 2012 in Cabot. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert L. and Madge H. McBee and her sister, Garnett Ashmore. She was married on December 23, 1941 to Temple Raymond Mayhill. They were married 59 years when he passed away on February 25, 2001. With her husband Temple, a 21-year veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, She traveled all over the world, moving more than 35 times in their 59-year marriage. No matter where they lived, or for how short a time, she always made a lovely, warm home for her family. She never objected to the frequent traveling and changes of residence because she accepted Temple's career choices and always stood at his side with loving support. In addition to being a home maker, she worked as a hair dresser and bank teller, but her role as daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother took precedence. In all the different aspects of her life, her love of God was evident to all who knew her. At the time of her passing, she was a member of the Cabot Westside Church of Christ. She will be missed by many. She is survived by two daughters, Karen Kathleen Mayhill Hilton of Cabot and Madge Raye Mayhill Stone of Cheyenne, Wyoming; five grandchildren, Robin K. Coslett Ward, Holly Hilton Hoard, Heather Hilton Ledford, Ryan K. Coslett and Renee K. Coslett Wolny. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, December 20, 2012 in the chapel of Moore's Cabot Funeral Home with Brother David Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Little Rock National Cemetery under the direction of Moore's Cabot Funeral Home and Crematory, (501) 843-5816. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday.
