Robert Nolan Ritter, age 95 of Little Rock, Ark., formerly of New Orleans, La., passed away Sunday, December 16, 2012, at Stonehaven Assisted Living. Bob was born January 4, 1917, in Decatur, Ind., a son of the late Quincy O. and Elva May (Zerkle) Ritter. Bob was a World War II veteran of the US Army. He served in the Normandy Invasion, and Battle of the Bulge. Bob was self-employed, and retired in 2008. He is survived by his daughter Sheri (Dennis) McDow of Covington, La.; grandson, Robert (Sharon) Lambert, Jr.; granddaughter, Christi (Thomas) Rao; and two great-grandchildren, Robert "James" Lambert, III and Christian Rao. He was preceded in death by a son, Ron Ritter, in 1978; a brother, Henry D. Ritter, Coldwater, Mich.; two sisters, Audrey Bleeke and an infant sister; and a brother, Leon Ritter. The family will receive relatives and friends from 11-1 p.m., Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd, New Orleans, La. Funeral services celebrating the life of Robert (Bob) Ritter will be at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Garden of Memories in Metairie, La.
