Bunnie Carolyn Holbert, formerly of Stuttgart, died Monday, December 17, 2012, at her home. She was born July 3, 1957, in Stuttgart to Charles Edwin Holbert Sr. and Bunnie Dockery Holbert. Bunnie touched many young lives as a dance instructor and role model for her beloved dance students at Bunnie's House of Dance before her retirement. She was crowned queen of many beauty pageants and held the title of Miss Arkansas in 1977 and represented Arkansas at the Miss America pageant the same year. In later years she was a 4-star pageant judge and coach and mentor to many contestants that sought her talent and knowledge in countless beauty pageants. Bunnie was preceded in death by her mother, Bunnie Dockery Holbert; and her maternal grandparents, William and Naurine Holbert. She is survived by her son, Sullivan Scott Goetz of Fayetteville; her grandchildren, Ava and Copelin Goetz; her father and step-mother, Charles Edwin Holbert Sr. and Fran of Little Rock; three brothers and their wives, William Holbert and Sandi of Stuttgart, Charles Edwin Holbert Jr. and Lori of Stuttgart and Andrew Holbert and Tammy of Little Rock; and several nephews and one niece. Funeral services officiated by the Rev. Hart Moore, are 2 p.m. Friday with visitation beginning one hour before at Turpin Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Lone Tree Cemetery.
