Billy F. Herrin, Sr., 81, of Pine Bluff, died Thursday, December 20, 2012 in Lake Village. He was born October 29, 1931 in Bluffton, Arkansas, son of Claud and Cleatha Cox Herrin. Mr. Herrin was reared and received his early education in Dumas. He owned and operated Billy's Wrecker Service for over 45 years in Pine Bluff. Mr. Herrin was a member of First Pentecostal Church of God. He also served as a special deputy in the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department for many years. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Mary Flynn; and step-brother, Junior Rice. Survivors include his wife, Connie Walter Herrin, whom he married November 15, 1969 in Pine Bluff; three sons, Billy Herrin, Jr. of Pine Bluff, Freddie Herrin and Dennis Herrin, both of White Hall; step-daughter, Debbie James of White Hall; two brothers, Boyd Herrin of La Mesa, California and Ross Herrin of Dumas; sister, Janie Heier of Searcy; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m., Sunday, December 23, 2012 in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson & Son with Brother James Miller and Reverend B.J. Johnson officiating.
