Lalla Lindsey

Lalla Helen Margruder Lindsey, 90 of North Little Rock and most recently of Little Rock passed away Saturday December 22, 2012. She was born March 29th, 1922 in Pocahontas, Arkansas to Elsie and Jerry Margruder. They later moved to Chicago where she grew up. Upon graduating from high school, she worked and then went to Arkansas to visit relatives, where she met her husband Charles Lindsey. She was a long time member of Park Hill Baptist Church and loved her church family. She loved her Lord, her family and friends. She had a zest for living and laughing with everyone. She is preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and her husband Charles Lindsey, and grand children Charles Kevin Ross and Kimberly Ann Burns. The last seven years she suffered from Alzheimer's disease but still loved everyone. She is survived by her daughters, Nancy Ross (Ken) of Sherwood, Lalla Burris of North Little Rock, Kathy Lindsey of Little Rock and grandchildren, Mark Burris of Texas, Kristyn Ross of Sherwood and Daniel Robertson of Belmont North Carolina. Other survivors include her two brothers Paul Margruder (Leah) of Chicago and Jerry Margruder of Asbury Park, New Jerses; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home, 7724 Landers Road on December 27th, 2012 at 11 a.m. with a visitation at 10:30 a.m. prior to the service. In Liue of flowers memorials may be made to Park Hill Baptist Church or to Alzheimer's Arkansas.
