Vera Mae Watson
Vera Mae Watson, 93, of Texarkana, Ark., passed away Dec. 24, 2012, at her home. Mrs. Watson was born Aug. 16, 1919, in Hollywood, Ark. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Texarkana, Ark. where she was a member of the Montgomery Sunday School Class. She was preceded in death by her husband, Emmett Watson. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Genevieve and Roger Burtchell of Texarkana; sister and brother-in-law, Pat and Waymond Adair of Plano, Texas; sisters-in-law, Sara Galloway of St. Louis, Mo. and Sue Tull of Concord, Tenn.; grandson, James Burtchell and his fiancée, Emily Franden of Austin, Texas; granddaughters and their spouses, Angela and Philip Hague of Lewisville, Texas and Amanda and Hank Bergt of Texarkana, Texas; great-grandchildren, Avery Galluci of Lewisville, Texas and Peyton Bergt of Texarkana; and great-grandchildren to be born Dec. 31, 2012, twins, Layla and Lincoln Hague of Lewisville, Texas; plus several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be 2 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012, at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens, Arkadelphia, Ark. with Revs. Bruce Bennett and Bob Langley officiating. Burial is under the direction of East Funeral Home-Moores Lane. Family will receive friends from 5 to 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2012, at East Funeral Home-Moores Lane.
