Don Morton

Don Morton, 83, a lifelong resident of Dumas, Ark. and retired farmer, was born July 14, 1929 the son of the late, W.T. "Will" and Susie Falls Morton. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, a Mason and served in the Army National Guard. Don was very active in his church and community. Don passed away on Dec. 23, 2012 in Pine Bluff, Ark. Survivors are his wife, Shelby Morton of Dumas, Ark.; two daughters, Pamela and her husband, Vince Punzalan of Torrance, Calif. and Donna and her husband, John Heard of McGehee, Ark.; brother, Larry and his wife, Carol Morton of Benbrook, Texas and sister, Jerry Tobler of Huntsville, Texas and four grandchildren, Daniel and Matthew Punzalan, Alexandra and Jonathan Heard. Family will receive friends during visitation held 5-7 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2012, Griffin Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services held 2 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012, First United Methodist Church with Rev. Buddy Ratliff and Rev. Tandy Hanson officiating with burial following in Walnut Lake Cemetery. Memorials in Don's memory may be made to First United Methodist Church. Griffin Funeral Home in Dumas, Ark. is in charge of arrangements.
