Alvin Earl Summey

Alvin Earl Summey, 75, of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas was born on March 19, 1937, in McDonald County, Missouri, son of Leo Earl and Maurine Eleanor (Anderson) Summey. He departed this life on December 22, 2012 at White River Medical in Batesville, Arkansas. Alvin was united in marriage to Frankie Joann Davis on June 17,1975, in Sarasota, Florida. He loved bowling and playing pool and was self employed as a truck driver. Alvin was of the Protestant faith. He is survived by his wife, Joann Summey of the home; daughter, Cathy Lowe and husband Brian of Hot Springs, Arkansas; five sons, Calvin Glen Summey of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas, Clifford Lee Summey and wife Joyceann of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas; Michael Vaughan Hess and wife Rayola of Crosby, Minnesota, Mark Davis Hess and wife Deborah of Bradenton, Florida and David Christopher Hess and wife Sue of Bradenton, Florida; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two sisters, Barbara Lebow and husband D of Willamina, Oregon and Patricia Reavis of Coos Bay, Oregon; one brother, Don Summey of Utica, Kansas; and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded by his parents and two sisters, Kay McElroy and Mary Edith Summey Memorial Services will be held at a later date. Arrangements by Barker Horseshoe Bend Memorial Chapel.
