Franklin G. Thompson

Franklin G. Thompson, 77, of Searcy, died Tuesday, December 24, 2012. He was born March 16, 1935 in Clarksville, to the late Herbert and Minnie Batchelor Thompson. He was the president of the retiree association for ABF. Franklin enjoyed gardening and yard work in his free time. He loved his family more than anything. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Thompson; fivve children, 12 grandchildren and one on the way, three great-grandchildren and seven sisters. He is preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Betty Thompson; two brothers, three sisters, and one granddaughter. Visitation will be Friday from 6-8 p.m. Services will be held Saturday, 2 p.m., Powell Funeral Home of Searcy. Interment will follow in Centerhill Presbyterian Cemetery.
