Robert Edmond Farris Jr.

Robert Edmond Farris Jr., 78, Lamar died Sunday, December 23 at his home. He was born November 12, 1934 in Clarksville. Son of the late Robert Edmond Sr. and Sue Nell Taylor Farris. Graduate of the Clarksville High School and The College Of The Ozarks. Member of the National Guards for 19 years, Clarksville Unit. Thirty year member of Westark Area Council of the Boy Scouts Of America. Cub Scout Leader and Retired Civil Engineer. Member of the Johnson County Historical Society and Heritage Museum. Member of the First United Methodist Church. Former Clarksville Light and Water Manager. Survivors include, his wife, Mary Ann Mickel Farris, one son, Wesley (Shelli) Farris of Lamar, one daughter, Martha (Dana) Thomason of Russellville, one brother, Lynn (Johnnie) Farris of Sherwood, 11 grandchildren, Lindy Massengale of Russellville, Angie (Boris) Scott of Conway, Ricky (Chastity) Massengale Jr. of Russellville, Roberta (Doug) Duling of Elkins, Chad Rivers of Lamar, Joey Galmeche of Mobil, Alabama, Jonathan (Vanessa) Thomason of Alexandria, Virginia, 10 great-grandchildren, Satera, Kaia and Karis Scott of Conway, Caden and Lexus Frazier of Conway, Jaxon and Gavin Massengale of Russellville, Eli, Kimberlyn and Hannah Duling of Elkins, one nephew, David Edmond Farris of Bentonville, two aunts, Anna Jane Warren of Clarksville, Joann Taylor of Clarksville. Memorials may be made to Johnson County Historical Society and Heritage Museum, 131 West Main Street, Clarksville, Ark. 72830. Private family memorial service at a later date.
