Elizabeth "Liz" Wallace Hesser

Elizabeth "Liz" Wallace Hesser, 84, of Gillett died Wednesday, December 26, 2012. She was born May 30, 1928 in Gillett, Ark. to Lynn and Beulah Wallace. She was a member of the Gillett United Methodist Church, and secretary for the Gillett Leisure Club. She is preceded in death by her husband, Carlton Hesser whom she was married to for 56 years, six brothers and three sisters. She is survived by her children, Linda (Jerry) McMillian of Little Rock, Charles (Kim) Hesser of Horseshoe Bay, Texas, Carla (Rusty) Hestir of DeWitt, and Donovan Hesser (Mike O'Hanley) of Boston, Mass.; her grandchildren, John Sollars, Bart (Kim) Sollars, Slade Sollars, Heath (Kristie) Williams all of DeWitt, Heidi (Kevin) Jester of Arkadelphia, Heather (Chris) Blackmon of Little Rock, Casey (Bethany) Hesser of Memphis, Tenn., Haven Hestir of Houston, Texas, and Hara Hestir of DeWitt; three step-grandchildren, Tyler Goodell of Tichnor, Hunter (Brittany) Goodell of Gillett, and Charli Bearden of Horseshoe Bay, Texas; 12 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren, and a daughter-in-law, Linda Hesser of Arkadelphia.nShe is also survived by one brother, Justin (Betty) Wallace of Gillett, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Friday, December 28, 2012 at Essex Funeral Home from 6-7 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, December 29, 2012 at the Gillett United Methodist Church in Gillett with burial at the Gillett Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Gillett Cemetery Fund or the Gillett United Methodist Church.
