Jogene Linda Griffis

Jogene Linda Griffis, 87, of Olive Branch, Miss., died Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012, at Baptist Desoto Hospital in Southaven, Miss. She was born March 16, 1925, in Sheridan, Ark., a daughter of the late Joel and Eula (Rhodes) Moring. She was also preceded in death by her sons, Hal Griffis and Dale Griffis; five sisters, Ruby, Babe, Helen, Willene and Patty; and the love of her life, Alfred "Jig" Craig. Mrs. Griffis was a long-time member of Oak Forest United Methodist Church; and worked at UAMS for over 35 years as a Medical Transcriptionist. She was also an avid hunter and loved to fish. She is survived by her grandchildren, Shari Fernandez, Susan Gray (Chris), Hallie Muilenburg (Danny) and Tim Griffis (Denna); 11 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren and a number of nephews and nieces. Funeral for Jogene will be 10 a.m., Monday, Dec. 31, 2012, in the chapel of Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth. Burial will follow in Rhodes Cemetery, Sheriden, Ark., under the direction of Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth, 5800 W. 12th Street, Little Rock. 501-661-9111.
