Scott Moore

Scott Moore did not go gently into that good night of 28 Dec. 2012, but he rests now peacefully: doting husband, wonderful and much loved dad; Conway Wampus Cat made good – WWII Veteran, Army Air Corps; UCA graduate; Springdale, Ark. high school math teacher; prominent IBM executive in Kansas City and New York; returned to Conway in 1984: member, Optimist Club, served several roles in Conway Rotary Club, including Rotary President, 1989-1990; member and President, United Way; 19-year member, Conway Symphony Orchestra; member and Chairman of Conway City Planning Commission; member and Chairman of Action for Conway's Tomorrow (ACT); member, First United Methodist Church of Conway and participant on various committees; personal computer consultant for various local companies; recipient, Paul Harris Fellowship award; recipient, Chamber of Commerce Good Neighbor Award, and wonderful friend to many. Scott lived 85 wonderful years and later suffered multiple health conditions. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Kitty; their son, Gary; two grandsons and their daughter, Virginia. Greater than the sum of his accomplishments: he participated; he gave; he left this world a better place. If he had only one cookie … and you needed a cookie … he'd give you his cookie. Please remember Scott through any donations to the organizations he cherished: Conway Rotary Club to fight Polio; First United Methodist Church of Conway; American Cancer Society; United Way; Conway Symphony Orchestra. To all of us he touched and to the many friends and supporters touched by him, our heartfelt thanks. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 31, 2012 in the Chapel of Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway. www.rollerfuneralhomes.com.
