Stacy Lynn Mitchell

Stacy Lynn Mitchell, 37, of Vilonia formerly of Wynne went to be with the Lord on Friday, Dec. 28, 2012. He was born on Saturday, Aug. 23, 1975 to James and Rebecca (Andrews) Mitchell. Mr. Mitchell graduated from the Arkansas Law Enforcement Training Academy in 1999 as the class leader. He was a highly decorated law enforcement officer, outstanding criminal justice instructor at Cabot High School and also a private investigator. He served in the Army National Guard and was a member of Conway's First Baptist Church where he was a drummer for the past eight years. He had a passion for music and was a very talented musician. Stacy was a loving husband, father and son. He is survived by his wife, Jenifer (Adams) Mitchell of Vilonia; two sons, Brady and Maddox Mitchell both of Vilonia; step-daughter, Shelby Gregory of West Helena; his parents, James and Gail Mitchell of Wynne; two brothers, James "Jamey" Mitchell (Crystal) of Brookland and Jason D. Mitchell (Christy) of Conway; numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, along with a host of law enforcement camaraderie, friends and students. Stacy is preceded in death by his grandparents, Fred and Lenora Andrews and Gene and Annar Raye Mitchell; numerous aunts, uncles, and other family members. Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, Dec. 31, 2012 at Conway's First Baptist Church with Dr. Dale Wicker and Reverend Kyle Cochran officiating.
