Vetrice Imogene Taylor

Vetrice Imogene Taylor, 84, of Austin, died Thursday, Dec. 29, 2011. She was born July 5, 1927 in Palestine, Ark. to Raymond and Bessie (Mitchell) Black. She was known for the love she showed to everyone, her love of nature, but most importantly her love for the Lord. Her greatest joy in life was family gathering in her home. Survivors include four daughters, Debra Johnson and husband, Leon, Mary White, Linda Hood and husband, Eugene, Barbara Billingsley and husband, Kenneth, two brothers, Lloyd Black, Floyd Black, one sister, Katie Branham, seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, R.L. Sullivan, her second husband, Lemuel F. Taylor, her mother and father, one daughter, Patsy Tuttle, one sister, Louise Taylor, one granddaughter, Marla Tuttle, three sons-in-law, Tom Fortenbury, Clint White, and Estil Tuttle. Visitation is Sunday, Jan. 1, 2012 from 3 until 5 p.m. Funeral services are 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 2, 2012 at Church of God of Prophecy in Des Arc with burial in Cotton Plant Cemetery. Bro. Lloyd Black officiating. Pallbearers are Kenny Billingsley, Travis Billingsley, Eugene Hood, Aaron Johnson, Brian Plante, Justin Skidmore.
