Marge Floyd Chamblin

Marge Floyd Chamblin, 87, of Cave Springs, Ark., formerly of Fort Smith, died Dec. 23, 2011 in Bentonville surrounded by her family. She was born May 15, 1924 in Nashville, Ark., to Moses Allen and Laura "Pearl" Hughes Floyd. She was a member of Goddard United Methodist Church in Fort Smith. She is survived by one daughter, Lynnda Wise of Cave Springs, Ark.; one son, Don W. "Buz" Chamblin Jr., of Mountainburg, Ark.; two grandchildren, Anne Wise Gibbons and Trey Wise; and three great grandchildren, Haley, Sam, and Blake Gibbons. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Don W. Chamblin; two daughters, Nancy and Susan Chamblin; her parents; and sister, Ada B. Howard. Memorial graveside will be Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2012 at 11 a.m. in the Woodlawn Memorial Park Chapel. Services and cremation are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home. The family will greet friends at a reception held in the parlor of Goddard United Methodist Church from noon until 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, the Children's Ministry of Goddard United Methodist Church, or the charity of your choice.
