Pat Shourd

Pat J. Baugh Shourd, age 74, of Searcy went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, Dec. 31 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Searcy to Luther and Flora Gaither Baugh of Searcy who preceded her in death. She was an active member at Searcy Faith Assembly of God Church. She is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Vernon Shourd; four children, Rick Shourd (Kathy), Dianna Meeks (Kenneth), Kay Williams (Scott) all of Searcy, and Jon Shourd (Cathy) of Conway; 14 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings, Helen Gentry (Frank), Don Baugh (Pat) of Searcy, and Luther Baugh (Kathy) of Maumelle and her Aunt Clarissa Belle Gower, many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visitation will be on Tuesday, Jan. 3 from 6-8 p.m. at Searcy Faith Assembly of God Church located at 2447 Highway 16. A celebration service will be on Wednesday, Jan. 4 at 2 p.m. at Searcy Faith. Interment will follow at Searcy Faith Cemetery under the direction of Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Pat Shourd Memorial Fund at Searcy Faith. The funds will be used to make improvements needed in the church kitchen. Pat cooked for the Faith Kids every Wednesday night until her health began to fail. www.searcymceuenfuneralhome.com.
