Tom Gilchrist

Tom Gilchrist, 75, of Camden died Sunday, January 1, 2012. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Camden and was the owner of Gilchrist Bag Company. He was a veteran of the Korean War and served a tour of duty in Germany. He attended New Mexico Military Institute and the University of Arkansas. He is preceded in death by his parents, William Thomas Gilchrist Sr. and Mary E. Gilchrist. He is survived by his wife, Linda Gilchrist and daughter Leslie Gilchrist both of Camden and a number of cousins. Funeral services will be Saturday, January 7 at 11 a.m. at Proctor Funeral Home with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery in Camden. Rev. Richard Piles will officiate the service. Visitation will be Friday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Camden or Arkansas Children's Hospital.
