Catharin Lois Wright, 91, of North Little Rock passed away Tuesday, January 3, 2012. She was born November 21, 1920 in Dumas, Arkansas to the late Mark and Annie Carolyn Morgan Jones. Mrs. Catharin Wright was raised by her step father John Carter. She was the Star Sunday School teacher in the first "From The Heart" publication. She has taught the Lydia SS Class since 1982 and loves "Her Girls." She says they kept her going and she tried to keep in touch with each one. She raised her sons and was a member of Levy Baptist Church until she moved to Mayflower. Catharin and her beloved husband, Wallace, moved to Mayflower in 1972. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Mayflower; an active member of the LLL's and has been a past member of the church Flower Committee. She was a willing volunteer to help with the BSU luncheon at UCA and kitchen duty during Bible School. She was an Arkansas Razorback fan, as well. She was also a Beauty Queen of Robinson Nursing and Rehabilitation for 2010 and first runner up of Arkansas District nursing home beauty competition. She is survived by her sons, Wayne Thomas Wright and wife, Carolyn Ann, of North Little Rock and Wally Joe Wright and wife, Debra Jean, of Little Rock; grandchildren, Scott Allen Wright (Sarah), Jeremy Wright (Rebecca) and Amanda Young (Byron); great-grandchildren, Brooks Wright, Clare Grace Wright and Blaze Wright; sisters, Doris Fleet and Dorothy Denton, both of Memphis, Tennessee and Lila Wood, of Leachville, Arkansas; and brother, Joe Jones, of Dallas. She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty four years, Wallace Felder Wright; brother, Oscar Jones and sister, Alice Smith. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of Robinson Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and Dr. Dale Fuller, Shelia and staff of North Little Rock Women's Clinic for their continued care. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, 4 Hwy 89 North, Mayflower, Arkansas 72106. Funeral service will be held 11:30 a.m., Saturday at First Baptist Church of Mayflower. Burial will be in Mayflower Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m., Saturday until service time at the church.
