Mrs. Cora Mae McCall, of Pine Bluff, passed away, Sunday, January 1, 2012. She was the daughter of the late Cornelius and Lillian Johnson. She was preceded in death by her husband Mr. Tomie McCall, Sr., two brothers, Mr. Cornelius Johnson, Jr. and Mr. Sidney Johnson and two sisters, Mrs. Lillian Hunter and Mrs. Rosalie Johnson. She was a proud graduate of Merrill High School and Arkansas A.M.&N. College (now UAPB), where she majored in Elementary Education. She was a Teacher in the Watson Chapel School District (Coleman and L.L. Owen) for over 20 years. Her love for teaching coupled with her genuine love and compassion for her students was always evident. Survivors include two sons, Dr. Tomie McCall, Jr., of Pine Bluff and Mr. Stevey Bernard McCall of Little Rock, Ark. A special caregiver, Ms. Rosalind Taylor of Little Rock, one brother, Mr. Paul Johnson, of Aurora, Colo., a grandson, Mr. Stefen Bradley McCall and seven nieces, Ms. Yvonne Hunter of Los Angeles, California, Mrs. Bessie (Jerry) Williams of Oklahoma City, Okla., Dr. Barbara A. Grayson of Pine Bluff, Mrs. Carolyn Cook, Mrs. Jacquelyn Spivey, Mrs. Gloria Wright (Robbie), and Mrs. Pauletta (Andre) Jackson of Aurora, Colo. Her services will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, January 7, 2012 at First Missionary Baptist Church by Rev. Charles Boyd. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Section-Graceland Cemetery by Brown Funeral Home of Pine Bluff.
