Ruth Cobb

Ruth Nolze Cobb, 93, of Ashdown, Ark., died in a local hospital. She was born July 8, 1918, in Delaware, Ohio. Mrs. Cobb is a member First United Methodist Church, Ashdown, Ark. She is preceded in death by her husband Eugene C. Cobb. Survivors are one step-daughter and son-in-law Jeanie and Gary Nutter of Texarkana; two grandsons and granddaughter-in-law, Kirby Nutter of Liberty, S.C. and John and Hannah Nutter of Rochester, N.Y.; two great-grandchildren, Ben and Anne Nutter, both of Rochester, N.Y.; plus numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Ruth was a past director of YWCA, past director of Christian education at First United Methodist Church, Texarkana, Ark., as well as past staff member of First United Methodist Church, Ashdown, Ark.; member of Kappa Delta Gamma sorority. Memorial service will be 4 p.m. Monday, Jan. 9, 2012, at East Funeral Home-Downtown with Revs. Jim Cross and Bruce Bennett officiating. Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Chruch, 400 E.
