Edith Faye Blevins Sanders Zimmerman

Edith Faye Blevins Sanders Zimmerman, lovingly known as Tutu, went to the God of her understanding on January 8, 2012 at the age of 91. She was born on January 21, 1920 in Keo, Arkansas, the daughter of Rueben Richard Blevins and Ira Lee Crumpton Blevins. Edith was a retired postal worker and later became a caregiver. She was of the Methodist faith. She is survived by five sons and one daughter, Cleetus (Ellen) Sanders of Ava, Illinois, Michael (Barb) Sanders of Rockwood, Illinois, Edward Stephen (Kimberly) Zimmerman of Ava, Illinois, Rebecca (Jeff) Bleck of LaSalle, Illinois, Frank (Christine) Zimmerman of No. Little Rock, Arkansas and David Zimmerman of Arlington, Texas; sixteen grandchildren, Angela, Joe, Mellany, Jeffrey, Robyn, Michael, Kasey, Amy, Stephanie, Malcolm, Jessica, Andrea, Jamie, Skylar, Zachariah, and Chelsea; and twenty-three great-grandchildren. Edith was preceded in death by her parents, thirteen siblings, a daughter-in-law, two grandsons and one great-grandson. Visitation will be Saturday evening, January 14 from 6-8 p.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.). Services will be held on Sunday at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be Monday, January 16 at 10 a.m. at Keo Cemetery.
