Steve Elrod

Steve Elrod, 60, of Presidio, passed away Thursday, January 5, 2012, in Midland. He was born July 1, 1951, in Little Rock, Arkansas, to Carl and Faye (Shelby) Elrod. He was preceded in death by his father, Carl Elrod. He is survived by his wife, Maria (Urias) Elrod; sons, Carlos and Rick Elrod; daughter, Esmy Fletcher; mother, Faye Elrod; brother, David Elrod; sister, Martha West; grandchildren, Brynn Jackson, Adam Fletcher, Jaden Fletcher, and Damien Boyd. Visitation was held yesterday from 5-9 p.m., at Martinez-Smith Funeral Chapels in Odessa. Funeral services will be held today, at 11 a.m., at University Park Baptist Church in Odessa, with Wayne Maass officiating. Burial will follow in El Paradero, Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Mexico.
