Carl Allen Dillaha

Carl Allen Dillaha, M.D., 87, of Fluvanna, Texas, died Dec. 27 in Snyder, Texas. Graveside services were held Dec. 30 in Hillside Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Dana Mayfield. Dr. Dillaha was born Oct. 25, 1924, in Little Rock to the late Thelma (Cashion) and Carl A. Dillaha. After graduating from Little Rock High School, he joined the Navy and was one of the youngest officers in Navy history. He married Helen Biggadike of Little Rock in 1947 and graduated from the University of Arkansas School of Medicine in June 1951. They moved to Snyder in 1953, where he opened a private medical practice. After Helen's death in 1996, he married Margaret Trevey Dunn in 1997 and moved to her home in Fluvanna. After his retirement, he served as medical director of the Price Daniel Unit in Snyder and several care centers. He is survived by his wife, one daughter Maribeth Dillaha Bunn of Abilene; two sons, Steve Dillaha (Samantha) of Snyder and David Dillaha of Lafayette, La.; one stepson, Max Drum (Valerie), also of Snyder; one sister, Janis Dillaha Young of Oakland, Calif.; a grandson, Jonathan Burton; and a great-grandson, Vandon Burton of Abilene.
