Samuel Jesse Maddox

Samuel Jesse Maddox, 58, of Stuttgart died Thursday, Jan. 12, 2012, at his home. Mr. Maddox was born March 10, 1953, in Moline, Ill., to Jesse Alexander Maddox and Betty Ann Pearson Maddox. He retired as the information systems manager at Riceland Foods. He was a Baptist and loved his grandchildren and gardening. He was preceded in death by his father and brother-in-law, Carl Reichenbach. Survivors are his wife of 40 years, Sandra Kay Hobbs Maddox; son, Jason (Kristi) Maddox of Stuttgart; daughter, Cindy (Dale) Leder of Stuttgart; two sisters, Peggy Reichenbach and Becky (Larry) Rummel of Cabot; seven grandchildren, Clay, Ryan and Drew Leder, Jaelyn, Jenna and Jacob Maddox and Lukas Murray. Funeral services are 11 a.m. Monday at Turpin Funeral Home chapel with burial in Lone Tree Cemetery. Visitation is 5-7 p.m. Sunday at Turpin Funeral Home.
