John Edward Pounders

John Edward "Poppy" Pounders, age 72 of Cabot, passed away Monday, January 16, 2012 at Baptist Springhill Medical Center in North Little Rock. He was born March 16, 1939 in Forrest City, Arkansas to the late Thomas and Louise Pounders. On May 22, 1966 he married Jeanie Goodman in Imboden, Arkansas. Mr. Pounders was a faithful member of Mt. Tabor United Methodist; a 32nd Degree Mason and a Shriner. He was preceded in death by his brother, Tommy Pounders. He survived by his wife, Jeanie Pounders of the home; two sons, Michael and his wife, Heather Pounders, Brian and his wife, Connie Pounders, all of Cabot; three grandchildren, Logan Pounders, Audrey Pounders and Makenna Pounders. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday, January 20, 2012 at Moore's Cabot Funeral Home. A memorial service will be 10 a.m., Saturday, January 21, 2012 at Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church with Brother Jason Sutfin officiating. The family suggests memorials be made to Mt.
