Ima Fern "Sissie" Fields

Ima Fern "Sissie" Fields, 86, of Russellville, formerly of North Little Rock, died Wednesday,January 18, 2012 at Dardanelle Nursing Center. The daughter of L.F. and Ida Freeman Fields, she was born August 25, 1925 in Russellville. She was a 1943 graduate of North Little Rock High School. In 1952 She received a Bachelor of Religious Education from Central Bible College in Springfield, Mo. and a Bachelor of Science in Education in 1957 from Arkansas State Teacher's College in Conway. Sister Fields worked in religious education for over 30 years with many Assembly of God churches throughout the state of Arkansas. She also worked for 14 years as a teacher in the North Little Rock School District. She was a member of the Russellville Assembly of God Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Lawrence Eugene Fields. She is survived by two nephews, Larry Fields, Russellville, Wesley Fields & wife Shirley, Russellville; two nieces, Jaynie Jones & husband, John, Russellville, Dawn Fields-Carter, Arkabutla, Mississippi; several great-nephews and great-nieces; several great-great-nephews and great-great-nieces. Funeral will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, January 21, 2012 at Humphrey Chapel. Rev Ronnie Morris will officiate. Burial will be at Rest Haven Memorial Park in Russellville by Humphrey Funeral Service. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., on Friday, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the General Council of the Assemblies of God Churches, P.O. Box 191670, Little Rock, Ark. 72219.
