Frank Leverett Batchelor

Frank Leverett Batchelor, age 92, of Malvern died Thursday, January 19, 2012 in Malvern. He was born April 19, 1919 in Rayburn, Arkansas the son of the late Luther and Sophena Gage Batchelor. He was retired from the United States Army, serving in World War II and Korean War. Following his service career, he worked at the V. A. hospital in Little Rock. He was a member of the V.F.W. and was a Baptist. He was preceded in death by one sister, Jeri Sackett; one brother, Dale Batchelor and one granddaughter, Iranna Edwards. Survivors include his wife, Kathleen Adams Batchelor; one daughter, Linda Sowell Morgan of Malvern; one sister, Clara Bell Simmons of College Station, Texas; one granddaughter, Illana Mortimer and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Sunday, January 22nd at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home in Arkadelphia with Bro. Scott Efird officiating. Interment will be in Gilchrist Cemetery at Friendship. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Saturday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Richard O'Neil, John Sackett, Erik Edwards, Alan Efird, Jack Martin, Tommy May, Paul Adams, Ken Adams and Michael Carter. Memorials may be made to Gilchrist Cemetery Fund.
