Dorothy Helen Barnes Williams Morden

Dorothy Helen Barnes Williams Morden of Sherwood, Ark. passed away on Jan. 15, 2012 peacefully with her grandson Robbie holding her hand. She was born in Kansas City, Mo. on May 31, 1920 to Harry and Loretta Barnes. Dorothy was the next-to-youngest of six children. All are deceased now. She has one sister-in-law, Virginia Terril, still living and remarried in Raytown, Mo. She has three children, Loretta Gagne of Jacksonville, Ark., John Williams of Dade City, Fla. and Kathy Williams of Belen, N.M.; seven grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She also leaves her beloved dog named "Puppy." Dorothy and her first husband John Henry Williams lived in Kansas City, Mo. She was a surgical nurse. Enjoyed her family and friends and belonged to the Grandview Methodist Church until her husband's death. She then moved to Haughton, La., retired from nursing. Moved to Arkansas where she met and married Vernon Morden. She had a good life, had many friends here and in all the states she lived in. She is missed by all who knew her and loved her. A loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all. She was a great cook and had many gifts of talent that she shared with family, friends, neighbors and her church. She will be buried with her first husband in Kansas City, Mo. at Park Lawn Funeral Home on Jan. 25, 2012.
