Veta Faye Little Simpson, 82, of North Little Rock was born Nov. 26, 1929 in Russellville, Ark. and passed away peacefully at her home on Jan. 20, 2012. She is preceded in death by one son, John David Simpson. Mrs. Simpson was a charter member of the Park Hill Christian Church, where she taught Sunday school for many years. She was an avid reader who enjoyed cooking, arts and crafts, quilting and making dolls. She was a member of the Sylvan Hills Chapter of the Eastern Star. She leaves to cherish her memory her loving and devoted husband of 65 years, John T. Simpson; her children, Jan Diederich (Joe) of Fayetteville, Ark.; Gay Missal (Bob) of Perryville, Ark. and Rebecca Simpson (Bob) of Jacksonville, Ark.; two brothers, James D. Little (Peggy) of Topeka, Kan. and Russell J. Little of Pleasanton, Calif.; grand children Tiffany Culbertson, Andrew Diederich, Jonathan Pressler, Stephen Pressler, Christopher Zintel, Harry Zintel, Larry Zintel, Kurt Simpson and 12 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends for visitation on Monday, Jan. 23, 2012 from 6-8 p.m. at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home, 7724 Landers Road in North Little Rock. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2012 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home with burial to follow in Arkansas Memorial Gardens with Rev. Miles Cook officiating.
