DIANA FOWLER NAGEL, 64, of Little Rock died Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2012 at her home. She was born Feb. 27, 1947 in Jonesboro to the late Hubert Birton and Melba Taylor Fowler. Her survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Allison and Jack Bailey of Little Rock; two grandchildren, Sophie and Billy Bailey; her sister and brother-in-law, Shirley and James Orman of Jackson, Tenn.; and her brother, Dr. James Fowler of Eagle Pass, Texas. Diana graduated from Jonesboro High School in the class of 1965. She graduated from Arkansas State University in 1969 with a master of science in education degree. She taught at West Elementary in Jonesboro for seven years and then in the Little Rock Public School District for 18 years. Funeral services will be Monday, Jan. 23, 2012 at 2 p.m. at Emerson Memorial Chapel. Rev. Mike Martin will officiate. Burial will follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery. Emerson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be Monday 1–2 p.m. at the funeral home.
