Michael "Mickey" Morphis 62 of Benton passed away on January 23, 2012 with his family by his side. Mickey was born on January 31, 1949 to the late, Hays and Donella Morphis in North Little Rock, AR. He served in the Marine Corp. where he received a purple heart. Mr. Morphis enjoyed hunting, fishing, guns and the military. His greatest joys were time spent with his loving wife, children and grandchildren. He was a member of Salem Baptist church for over 20 years. Mickey worked at Union Pacific Railroad for over 30 years. He is preceded in death by his three children, Cara, Chris and Donecia Morphis. Mickey is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Jettie; three daughters, Megan, Sarah and Kaitlyn; five sons, Brian, Jeremy, Greg (Jennifer), Shawn and Shane (Laura); one sister, Charlotte; two grandchildren, Aidan and Riley; one brother, Larry; his four legged partner, Daisey and a host of family, church family and friends who all loved and will miss him dearly. A celebration of Mickey's life will be held on Friday, January 27, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Salem Baptist Church. Visitation will be Thursday, January 26, 2012 from 6-8 p.m. at Dial and Dudley Funeral Home.
